Matthew previously served as General Counsel to the New York real estate developer and entrepreneur Sheldon H. Solow, who ranks in the top 500 in Forbes’ list of the world’s billionaires. At Solow Realty & Development Company, Matthew collaborated on overall legal and business strategy, advised in connection with major financial and real estate transactions, conducted due diligence and investigations, developed corporate policies, and rendered advice on and supervised a diverse range of high profile domestic and international disputes and litigation matters concerning real property interests, land use, art, intellectual property, securities, insurance, bankruptcy and other complex matters.

Upon graduation from law school, Matthew served as a law clerk to The Honorable Herbert J. Hutton, of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Matthew graduated magna cum laude from Boston University School of Law in 1997, where he served as Articles Editor on the Boston University Law Review, was the recipient of the Dean's Award in Corporate Taxation, and was named Edward F.
